Season’s greetings my dear readers and followers! Today I wanted to give you a quick update by going over the Roadmap for 2023, and to wish you a happy new year as we trot through these final hours of December. Looking back on last year’s wrap up, things have changed a bit. I got a lot done, but it seems I was ambitious and didn’t understand just how much the full cast audiobook would cost me to produce, and how much time it would take. Now that I’m a year wiser, let’s go over the plans for this next year.
January – March: Dawning of Darkness will be released in this time frame. I’m on the final chapter now and hoping to get the writing finished in early January at the latest; after that I’ll have my editor poke through it. It will be between 20 and 25,000 words when it’s all finished. I will use any remaining time on my plans for March – June.
March – June: This will be a “work phase”. I’ll either be working on writing parts of The Desperado’s Tale, or doing audio work for Dawning of Darkness or Afterworld.
June – August: Audio work blitz. It’s my summer, and I don’t plan on traveling this year, so I’d like to work on one audiobook and try to push it out. Due to budget constraints this year, I’m not sure I’ll be able to get as many voice actors hired during this period, which will delay production, but it’s the goal. Again, due to budgeting issues, it’s likely I’ll be pushing out the audiobook for Dawning of Darkness before Afterworld as the former will be about a third the length of the latter. If the budget fails hard here, I’ll be writing the entire summer with mild audio work like recording my own lines or scene rendering.
August – October: Working on The Desperado’s Tale.
October – December: Budget will increase here, so I’ll be finishing the audiobook and releasing it, or hiring voice actors to continue with production. I will focus any remaining time on writing.
So there you have it, the Roadmap for 2023. The Ebook Dawning of Darkness will be completed this winter and should be released soon after. Make sure you’re signed up for the Newsletter so that you can get it upon release.
As always, stay posted.
